A mangalsutra teamed with a bold red gown? Well, trust Priyanka Chopra Jonas to pull it off with a certain panache that will leave you wondering if you could try it too.
Recently, global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas shot for a fashion magazine cover and struck a rather powerful pose on the cover flaunting a Bulgari mangalsutra teamed with a pouffy red gown. However, the mangalsutra wasn’t the one that Priyanka wore at her wedding. Rather, it was a tease for her collaboration with the brand Bulgari, with whom she mentioned in her caption, she has come up with a mangalsutra that boasts an elegant and chic design, and is meant for the modern Indian woman who takes charge of her own life.
Alongside a series of photos from her magazine cover shoot, Priyanka wrote that the mangalsutra will be released soon. She captioned the photos, “This is a relationship that has been many years in the making, and is one that brings me such joy for so many reasons…one of which is the Mangalsutra (coming soon) that we created. Discussing with @jc.babin, @lucia_silvestri and the @bulgari team almost 3 years ago and seeing it come to fruition is such a great feeling – it’s so elegant and chic, designed for the modern Indian woman who takes charge of her own life. I’m so proud of this partnership.”

For the unversed, soon after her wedding with Nick Jonas, when Priyanka Chopra Jonas was spotted at the airport, that was the first time the international icon was snapped wearing mangalsutra for the first time.
Unlike normal mangalsutras that have black and gold beads throughout the chain, Priyanka’s beautiful and unique ornament had them only at the beginning. It was a simple gold chain, with a few beads next to the pendant. Priyanka’s mangalsutra is by Sabyasachi heritage jewellery.
Earlier, during an interaction with Vanity Fair, when asked about her prized possessions, Priyanka had said, “My mangalsutra. In an Indian wedding, it’s a necklace the groom ties around the bride’s neck. And a diamond ring my dad gave me.”
On the work front, Priyanka has ‘Matrix 4: Resurrections’, ‘Citadel’ and ‘Text For You’ lined up. She also has the Bollywood film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ in her kitty.
