Amitabh Bachchan’s bodyguard transferred after reports of him allegedly earning Rs 1.5 crore per year surface

As per an India Today report, Amitabh Bachchan’s police bodyguard Jitendra Shinde has been transferred after reports of him allegedly earning Rs 1.5 crore per year surfaced online. The report states that a departmental inquiry has been ordered into the matter.

Mumbai police department’s constable Jitendra Shinde, who has been posted as a bodyguard for Amitabh Bachchan and has been with the star as his shadow for several years now, reportedly earned Rs 1.5 crore annually, media reports suggested.

Soon after the reports emerged online, Mumbai Police ordered an inquiry into the matter to establish whether the said money was being earned by Shinde from Big B or someone else.

As per the India Today report, Jitendra Shinde has told police officials that he runs a security agency that provides personal bodyguards to other celebrities and renowned personalities. As per the report, Shinde has told the official that his wife runs the agency in her name and that Amitabh Bachchan did not pay him Rs Rs 1.5 crore.

Jitendra Shinde has been working as Big B’s security since 2015. However, as per Mumbai police, a cop cannot be deployed in one place for more than five years. Amitabh Bachchan is an X security holder and so two constables are always posted with him, one of which was Jitendra.

Jitendra was always by Big B’s side like a shadow. From public events to film sets, Jitendra Shinde was spotted with Amitabh Bachchan come hail and storm. However, now, as per the report, Jitendra Shinde has been transferred to a police station in South Mumbai.
