10 killed in horrific road accident, Prime Minister expressed grief

 

  • In Wadodia near Vadodara, Gujarat, 10 people were killed and 16 others were injured when a mini-truck collided with a trailer and a mini-truck on Wednesday morning.

    Police reached the information, with the help of the nearby villagers, took the injured out of the truck and brought it to the hospital and put the bodies in the morchary for postmortem. The condition of some of the injured remains critical.

    Prime Minister Modi expressed grief over this incident.

  • Accident occurred after the driver of a mini truck lost control

  • Vadodara Commissioner of Police RB Brahmabhatta said that the others, including the deceased, were going from Surat to Pavagadh in a mini truck. The driver of the mini truck near Waghodia Circle lost control of the vehicle and pushed it into the trailer next to the truck.

    In this accident, 10 of those going for darshan were killed, while 16 others were injured. The villagers started rescue operations.

  • Ruckus occurred on the spot after the accident

  • Eyewitness villagers said that the collision between the two trucks was so severe that it was heard for about 500 meters.

    When people reached the spot after hearing the loud banging, the sound of screams was heard from the mini truck. The injured were moaning because of the pain.

    In such a situation, the villagers started informing the police and took out the injured. During that time some serious injured were sent to the hospital by private vehicles.

  • President Ramnath Kovind has expressed his condolences by tweeting about the accident. He tweeted, ‘Sad to hear of loss of life and property in road accident in Vadodara. I am with mourning saturated families in this hour of grief and wish the injured a speedy recovery.

    The same Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, ‘I am saddened by the accident in Vadodara. My consolation is with the relatives of the dead. The administration is providing all possible help.

  • Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted, ‘Sad to hear about the loss of life and property in a road accident in Vadodara. I have spoken to the local administration and directed all possible help to the injured. My condolences are with the bereaved families and wish the injured a speedy recovery. ‘

    Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that he was saddened by the loss of life and property in the accident. He has instructed the officers to help the needy.
